This is my first blog of hopefully many more to come. I wanted to quickly express my views on the future of work, and I guess in general, of life… based on the inevitable arrival of super intelligent agents.
I won’t use the word AGI because honestly I am a bit tired of debates about the definition and probably people will never agree on a true definition or what satisfies a super intelligent agent. What is sure, at least for me, is that white collar jobs will slowly be automated, teams will be smaller and with that one-man-businesses will start appearing.
In case a group still wants to arg ue that AI won’t replace you, it might be true, but it will be someone using AI to make his/her work much more efficient. Sales departments probably will be the ones largely affected by this wave first [1]. But I do believe it will impact in the amount of people required to do a job.
Now for the positive side of things. I hope people start realizing that solving day-to-day problems, not just in software environment, but in other areas will become more trivial [2]. I hope this opens the way for people to start investing time in personal projects that were left off due to a lack of time. Learning and building stuff in general should become easier as we progress [3]

[2] For example an end-to-end software project (check Replit, Bolt), all the way to AI tutors supervising how you perform certain task/project/venture.
[3] Currently we are in a race for bigger models, but with time companies will start fine-tuning and building smaller versions of more capable models for a specific area, task etc…
